Holding the hand of father, Jumana Mahmud on Journalism
Jumana Mahmud came to Italy in 2003 on family visa. Reaching in Italy, she started her education and on 2007, she started working as a correspondent of Bangla TV telecasted from UK. She got fame in whole Europe by the help of Shamsul Alam Liton, then director, news & current affairs of Bangla TV. Jumana Mahmud covered the news of attending Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Copenhagen Climate Change Conference and he covered the news of Italy tour of the Prime Minister. Furthermore, she worked as the correspondent of several television channels. Currently she is working as the Italy Correspondent of Somoy TV. She is working as the International Affairs Secretary of the Bangla Press Club Italy from the beginning.
Actually Jumana got success on this profession holding the hand of her father Journalist Hasan Mahmud. She has huge fame in Europe including Italy.

ফ্যামিলি ভিসায় জুমানা মাহমুদ ২০০৩ সালে ইতালিতে আসেন। ইতালি এসে পড়াশুনা শুরু করেন এবং ২০০৭ সালে ইউকে থেকে সম্প্রচারিত বাংলা টিভি চ্যানেল প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে কাজ শুরু করেন । বাংলা টিভির তৎকালীন পরিচালক নিউজ অন্ড কারেন্ট এ্যাফেয়ারস শামসুল আলম লিটন এর সহযোগিতায় তিনি ইউরোপ জুড়ে ব্যাপক পরিচিতি লাভ করেন। জুমানা মাহমুদ প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার কোপেনহেগেনে জলবায়ু সম্মেলন ছাড়াও ইতালি সফরকালে সরকার প্রধানের অনুষ্ঠানে খবর করেন। এছাড়াও তিনি ঢাকার একাধিক টেলিভিশনের প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন। বর্তমানে তিনি সময় টেলিভিশনের ইতালি প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে কাজ করছেন। বাংলা প্রেস ক্লাব ইতালীর শুরু থেকেই এই সংগঠনের আন্তর্জাতিক বিষয়ক সম্পাদক হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করে আসছেন।
মূলত জুমানা তার বাবা সাংবাদিক হাসান মাহমুদ এর হাত ধরে এই পেশায় সাফল্য অর্জন করেন। ইতালিসহ ইউরোপে তার রয়েছে ব্যাপক পরিচিতি।
